1978 Family-Run Since
2,500+ Installations
90+ Churches Served

A Place to Master Your Craft

We're not a churn-and-burn install shop. We're a family-run team that's been doing this the right way since 1978 — and we want someone who's in it for the craft, not just the clock.

Family-Owned Since 1978

Founded by Bucky Buckner and still run like a family. Your name is on every job — and so is ours.

Master Your Craft

Hands-on mentorship, manufacturer training, and the time to do it right. We sweat the details others skip.

High-End Gear

Work with the best in the business — 4K laser projection, Dolby Atmos, Savant, Control4 and more.

Work That Matters

Family movie nights, packed sanctuaries, a car that finally sounds incredible. You make those moments happen.

Sounds Unlimited installer running cable and mounting equipment on site Danville, VA · Full-Time

Professional AV Installer

No two days look the same. One morning you're calibrating a dedicated home theater so the first frame gives a family chills. That afternoon you're dialing in a church sound system so every seat hears every word. You're the person who turns a pile of high-end gear into something that just works — and looks clean doing it.

  • Install, configure, and calibrate residential and commercial audio/video systems
  • Run clean low-voltage wiring — speaker wire, HDMI, Cat6, and control cabling
  • Mount TVs, projectors, screens, and speakers with precision
  • Program control systems (Savant, Control4, RTI) and church sound, video & livestream setups
  • Troubleshoot on site, keep a tidy job, and treat every client like a neighbor

You'll thrive here if you'd rather take an extra hour to hide a cable than leave it sloppy, you light up when a system finally sings, and a handshake at the end of a job means something to you.

No Two Days Sound the Same

Here's what a real Tuesday can look like on our crew.

8:00 AM — The Shop

Coffee, game plan, load-out

The crew walks the day's jobs together, checks the racks and gear staged the night before, and loads the van. Questions get answered before you roll, not on the client's driveway.

9:00 AM — A Home Theater

Mounting day

Projector goes up, screen gets squared to the millimeter, and speaker wire disappears into the walls. The homeowner keeps peeking in — that's the fun part.

1:30 PM — A Church Sanctuary

Dialing in Sunday

New wireless mics and a PTZ camera for the livestream. You walk the volunteer team through the board until they're running it themselves — and you see the relief on their faces.

4:30 PM — Back at the Shop

Wrap, prep, head home

Van restocked, tomorrow staged, notes logged. You leave on time knowing two more rooms in town sound better than they did this morning — because of you.

I started this company in 1978 with one rule: do the work like your name is on it — because it is. I'm not looking for someone to fill a seat. I'm looking for someone who hears the difference, and cares enough to chase it.

Straight Answers

Do I need AV experience to apply?

No. Experience helps, but we've trained plenty of great installers from scratch. If you're good with your hands, take pride in neat work, and want to learn a real trade, apply and tell us that in your application.

I come from car audio / electrical / carpentry — does that count?

Absolutely. We started as a car audio shop in 1978, so we have a soft spot for 12-volt folks. Wiring discipline, fabrication skills, and job-site sense all transfer directly to home, church, and commercial AV work.

Do I need my own tools?

No — we supply the equipment to do the job right. If you have hand tools you love, bring them, but you won't be buying your way into this job.

What's the schedule like?

It's a full-time role based out of our Danville shop. Most work is daytime on local job sites, with the occasional bigger church or commercial project that takes some travel within the region.

How fast will I hear back?

Quickly. Applications go straight to the team — not into a database — and if it's a fit we usually reach out within a few days for a phone call.

Let's Build Something Together

If the work above sounds like you, we'd genuinely love to meet you. The application takes just a few minutes — and a real person on our team reads every single one.

  • We read every application No black-hole inbox. Bucky's team reviews each one personally.
  • Quick, human process A few questions, your resume, and a real conversation — not endless rounds.
  • Newer to the trade? Still apply. If you've got the hands and the hunger, tell us — we train.
